This year it is especially important to get your flu shot! Health officials warn of a “twindemic”. Co-occurring spikes between the flu and covid-19, will put a huge burden on our countries health care system. The overlapping surge of both the flu and covid-19 could be very dangerous. It would mean additional trips to the hospital and doctors office, as well as the increase in covid-19 testing would put a strain on our healthcare system. We need to prevent as much influenza as possible to avoid this burden.

The flu vaccine is generally 40-60% effective. The truth is that by getting a flu vaccine the symptoms would be milder, and lowers the complications associated with the virus.
