Companion Services of America Attends an Easter Seals Event – Chicago IL

Steve Shapiro, our Business Manager at Companion Services of America (CSA), is a board member for Easter Seals Metropolitan Chicago and is on the President’s Council.  Easter Seals is an organization whose mission is to help people with disabilities and other special needs maximize their independence and create opportunities.  The Easter Seals organization has autism therapeutic schools in Chicago, Rockford, and Tinley Park.

Steve attended a networking event at the Iarca gallery in Chicago.  Special guest, Joe Mantegna from Criminal Minds, was in attendance.  (Steve on the left, Joe in the middle, Dave Taylor of FirstMerit Bank on the right). CSA is thrilled to be able to be a part of an organization like Easter Seals and enjoys participating in charitable organizations throughout the community.

Founder/Owner at Companion Services of America

Jamie Shapiro, founder of Companion Services of America, LLC received a Masters Degree in Clinical Social Work from the University of Chicago. Jamie started her career in psychiatric social work at Northwestern University Institute of Psychiatry. Later, she went on to become the Director of Social Services at Belmont Community Hospital where she developed discharge planning procedures to assist staff in identifying potential patients requiring intervention.
